Call for Editor: Business and Economic History On-Line

Call for Editor

The Business History Conference seeks an Editor for Business and
Economic History On-Line, an electronic publication of a selection of
papers presented at the BHC’s annual meeting. The active timeframe for
the position runs from the conclusion of the annual meeting in late
March, through the placement of the papers online in late summer/early
fall. During this period, you would need to devote approximately 5
hours per week to the following duties:

* soliciting papers from conference attendees (you will generally
receive 15-25 submissions by the end of May)
* making sure papers meet both suitable scholarly standards and the
formatting standards of the journal
* working with authors to do some minimal copyediting and formatting of papers
* aiding the BHC trustees in transitioning the journal to become part
of an online working paper depository (such as Social Science Research
Network)
