the Network for the Environmental History of Dictatorships (NED) aims to organize a session or in case of a larger number of papers, sessions on the environmental and economic history of dictatorships at the Economic History Society’s Annual Conference April 1-3, 2016 in Robinson College in Cambridge, UK.
The NED is network for scholars working on the environmental history of left and right-wing authoritarian regimes. Currently 17 scholars from 13 countries participate to the activities of the NED. Link: https://thenednetwork.wordpress.com/
In this/these proposed session(s) authors are encouraged to investigate the relationship between economy and the environment in authoritarian and dictatorial regimes. Submissions are encouraged to cover all geographical areas globally and any type of authoritarian regimes.
Deadline for session submission is September 4, 2015.
