NACLA seeking managing editor (paid position)

NACLA is seeking a Managing Editor for their flagship journal, NACLA Report on the Americas, starting this semester, ideally for a two-year appointment. The position reports to the Executive Editor and works with the editorial collective and editorial and administrative assistants. Someone based in New York is preferred, as work out of the office at NYU CLACS will be necessary. The position will be approximately 20hrs per week, varying depending on production schedule. This will be a great position for a PhD candidate, particularly one with experience in academic publishing and/or editing. The pay is commensurate with NYU PhD funding, approximately $30K for an academic year (including summer). If you are interested or know someone who might be, please email NACLA Board member Christy Thornton at llchristyll @ gmail.com with a CV and a letter indicating relevant experience.
